What is Health Coaching?

My Health Coaching Program is a 6 month program in which you and I work together to find out your health goals, what’s holding you back and how to get you where you want to be. Much like a coach in any sport, a Health Coach provides knowledge, encouragement and accountability to get you performing your best. This means customizing each session for you specifically so we can move at your pace and make adjustments for you.

What is a Health Coach?

Health coaches work as mentors to help you achieve your health goals, step by step. We work to hold you accountable for what you want to accomplish and provide simple ways to get you there. The Institute for Integrative Nutrition defines a health coach as “a wellness authority and supportive mentor who motivates individuals to cultivate positive health choices. Health coaches educate and support clients to achieve their health goals through lifestyle and behavior adjustments.”

What does a Health Coach do?

We are trained holistically, which means we look at all aspects of your life (diet, relationships, career, spirituality, physical fitness, etc.). In a world where doctors/dietitians/nutritionists don’t have time to figure out WHY you didn’t adhere to the handout they gave you on what to eat, health coaches are filling the gap to fix the WHY. We are also acting as a liaison between practitioners and you to give you the best possible outcome because this is your life.

We all instinctively know that eating more greens and drinking more water can make us healthier- but we just don’t do it! I’m trained to find out why we don’t do this and help you in those areas of your life that you need extra support in to make better decisions. I will listen to you, hold you responsible for making progress and work at your pace.

What DON’T Health Coaches Do?

We are not doctors, nutritionists/dietitians, personal trainers (unless otherwise specified), we don’t claim to cure, diagnose or prevent diseases/illness, we don’t advise you to get off your medication or take more.
